Look, I wasn't tryin' ta kill Starbucks. Nope! Just my own little, personal, half-assed ethical argument against $5 per cup of coffee! That's it!

Honest! I never meant 'em any harm...

Starbucks reports first-ever quarterly loss

By ANDREA JAMES
P-I REPORTER

Because of the cost of restructuring, Starbucks Corp. reported Wednesday a net loss of $6.7 million in its third quarter.

It was the first time the company has ever reported a quarterly loss.

For the quarter that ended June 29, the company lost a penny per share, compared with a $158 million profit, or 21 cents per share, in the same period of 2007.

Net revenue, however, grew 9 percent to $2.57 billion.

Seattle-based Starbucks estimated that the cost of closing 616 underperforming U.S. stores is $167.7 million.

The news came a day after the coffee giant announced it was cutting 1,000 non-store jobs and closing most of its Australia stores.

I believe Uke is one of the major causes of the economic slowdown, driving Starbucks into bankruptcy, Budwieser being bought by foreigners, It's Uke's fault.

Anheuser-Busch, Starbucks, Microsoft, and Wal Mart are all on Uke's 'boycott' list. I just hate 'em all, and my next computer will be a Mac.

I'm tired of all this updating, security packets crap, and all the holes, and bugs in Microsoft's operating systems! Why in the hell can't they make a browser that works?

That's why I use Firefox...exclusively! Internet Explorer is full of security holes...and lets all kinds of worms, spies, viruses, and other crap in, which take over yer computer.

Starbucks coffee costs too much. And it's lousy anyway!

Budweiser, and ALL A-B products are piss...

Wal Mart? Don't go there.! Y'all know why! If I hafta 'splain... Damnit! Don't shop there. Support 'Made in America' merchandise,  buy locally, support your own communities,  save jobs, and keep your local neighborhood businesses  doing what they do!

I'm sorry about the economy too, but I'm still working, and I spend my money right where I work...and I bank at my RR credit union!

Helps all my brothers and sisters who work for BNsf, and UP right at home!
