In one interview with Chris Hillman, Emery brought up the song "Drug Store Truck Drivin' Man," which Gram Parsons and Roger McGuinn had written about Emery. Emery then asked, "So, how is Gram doing?" Hillman answered, "He's still dead, Ralph."

When I saw Ralph Emery's picture on the Sonny James bit, it made me think of that song and I thought I'd post his picture and the lyrics but I didn't know who'd know anything about that besides me.  Obscure?  Perhaps.  Then, I couldn't figure out how to do it with that MacBook.  Well, duh.  So be it.
