Just out of curiousity, I'm going to see if there is one left
within a 2 mile radius of me. The corner drop-mailbox is
going the same route tuu. Since 9-11, neighborhood corner
mailboxes are history. If you forget to get your outbound
mail in your mailbox before the postal person comes, you
got some miles to drive to "mail" that important payment.

Next time you're throwing one of your sniveling fits about 'nadian temps, think of that stuff and hush up.

That phone booth is conveniently located near the Salvation Army donation center, downtown, where Mr. and Mrs. Cy were, uh, donating some electronics that they no longer had any use for. None of the electronics were Jobsian in nature. Spied the phone booth right next to the doorway and immediately thought of Uke's interest in all things phone booth.

Yes, but did Cy make a complete inspection? Safety of the phone itself, clearances, ground in/around the booth? More important however, was the telephone functional? Did you personally test it?

To test it for functionality, call the number listed and pick it up, and talk to yourself on your cell phone, or have a partner test it. This may be basic, but is of utmost importance in case of a real emergency!

As an aside, always carry coins (nickels, dimes, quarters...) in case your cell dies!

Charger, Uke, and a car charger. Good to go.

No, didn't test it. It was C-O-L-D outside. Way c-o-l-d-e-r than 9 degrees 'nadian. Just took a moment to photograph it.

Pay Phone Project may require that you test BOTH phones pictured, regardless of weather conditions. We suggest that you return when your temperatures are more 'comfortable'! We'd hate to lose another good 'scout' to bad conditions out there in the hinterlands...

As to the previously mentioned prize(s), BJPC may take the matter under consideration. Or not.
