That's a funny find there Pipes. We all sign in each day/night looking
for something "newsworthy", something "funny", some noteworthy
"work experience". It's all good for me reading others souls experiences
in my choosen field of railroading but there is a private life of railroaders
that is equally interesting.

I wonder if the dog survived and I thought the person taking the video should have scared off the deer instead of filming so they could be cute.

Because I think it would, deer are skittish. No, I'm not a deer hunter or any other kind, for that matter but I've heard a lifetime of deer hunting stories. And, I didn't think it was the person doing the voice-over, either, I said the person taking the video. Nope, gotta tell you, I feel for the suburban dog.

I think the dog and the cat would have harmed the baby deer if left alone. Our other cat used to lick like that before she would bite you.

I wasn't there, but i'm thinking like you Cy. You dont get to see any video of the dog being finished off. There is a piece missing, I'd bet that who ever was taking the video stopped and yelled or something to save the dog. Then started again where the Doe comes back and chases the cat.

Hurrah fer the puss tho....that Doe got ta find out what getting 5 was. (Remember Fred Sanford curling up his fist and saying.."I'm gonna give you 5")

I have little sympathy for deer, suburban or otherwise. It still blows me away when I think about when I was growing up, seeing a deer was an event in our part of the country, geese, fox, coyotes, for crying out loud, and now, they're everywhere.

I've only ever hit one deer but our guys who continued to commute the long distance from our former HT to what became our HT hit several, in that part of the cornfield, soybean, farmlands, deer are everywhere.

Whidbey Island WA....the deer are in numbers like rodents. I lived there for
7 years and had "3" near misses with my auto usually traveling at night.
The daily travels around the island would have a dead deer on the side of
the road as pretty much a daily occurance.
