I was expecting something like that.  It's like putting out bait, just to see what comment is made.

It wasn't 5 minutes after the power came back I yanked that big button
on the washer to "resume action". It was probly a good thing "that"
load got a chance to soak in sudsy water for a while.

What a day Friday was with the big melt going on. While it was difficult to
find the perfect measuring spot, my place got 20-24" of snow. It was an
accumulation of 5 straight days of snowfall. The early hours of Tuesday
delivered the biggest dump of 14-15". All this snow was of the "wet" variety.
Temps in the 28-34 degree range. Heavy, slippery, icy, and turns life into a
challenge with every step you take in this shit. Tried to get out in deep snow
of my yard with a push-broom and knock-off the heavy snow accumulated
on my rhodie bushes and other plants smashed down by the heavy weight
of compact snow. Too much work I soon realized and headed back for
the indoors. What a fucking mess this whole thing is. Got another chance
to evaluate the situation of the trees that came down on my garage.
Have to say that foot and half of snow on the roof might have "softened"
the blow some. Two trees landing on your garage with just a couple "puncture"
holes to patch-up is lucking out I'd say. Still I have hours of clean-up to do
with all this I can't even start until the roof is clear of snow. Next week it's
supposed to rain every day. Great time to be up on the roof. A whole lot
of Washingtonians are without power in the snow and cold tonight with
no assurance of when that will change. For now...I'm enjoying the melting
progress I'm seeing.

Not much meat at the local super market... Grabbed some kinda ground beef... Might make a burger later taday. And salad. The snow's all but gone, and traffic continues rising... Amazing what overnight rains and temps over 40 will do!

The cold, and snow were okay by me... The rain though? Coulda done without!

The snow/freeze was fun. Really.

You are so easy to please Uke. You would have to think an
Aquarian would be well adjusted to the worst of winter.
It's an "advantage" or strength of character to "fend off"
winters challenges every year. Wintertime always takes its
toll. Good to have natural survival instincts in the winter.

Saturday afternoon I "needed" to hit the grocery store and the
bottle shoppe. My driveway was a consistant 4-5" inch layer
of the wettest snow can be. My street was a frozen/slushy
uncertainty. Once I go for it...do not let up. I was really pleased
that the Jetta was able to "get me out of here". It was what
you'd expect to see around the city...lotza piled up dark grey
snow everywhere you look, all the grit/sand layed down on
the streets over the last week are pinging off your windshield
and car paint. Just a trip to the grocery store of a mile and a
half and back, and your car looked like it went to Montana and
back. I always "back-in" my driveway to the garage. Today, I
just want to get into the garage no matter what way I pointed.
A successful journey for necessities. The snow continues to melt.
Big windstorm for Sunday...sure just pile it on us.
