NEW HAVEN, Conn. (AP) A Connecticut woman whose son served her with eviction papers on her 98th birthday says she's upset and wants to stay in the home where she raised her children.
Mary Kantorowski has lived in her yellow Cape Cod-style home in Fairfield since 1953. She said Friday that the home means "everything" to her.
Her oldest son, 71-year-old Peter Kantorowski of Trumbull, told the Connecticut Post he's concerned about her well-being. He said when he last saw her eight months ago, she seemed disoriented and was living in poor conditions.
Peter Kantorowski owns the house. He says his mother has rejected his suggestions to live with him or in a nursing home.
Another son, Jack Kantorowski, tells WTNH-TV that his brother is a "scumbag."
