UNBURY, Ohio - A woman was behind bars in

connection with a refund swindle targeting local gas

stations.

Sunbury police arrested Heather Johnston, of Grove

City, and charged her with attempted theft.

Police said that Johnston attempted to scam Kroger

with $275 in cash refunds and other merchandise.

Two others were with Johnston, they took off in a

1998 white Ford Explorer. The vehicle was thought to

be connected to similar style thefts in Grove City, Dublin and Columbus.

Sunbury police said that more charges were expected later in the week.
