No! Not no, but fuck no! Just say Fuck off Starbucks ya greedy bastards! Seven bucks for a cup o' coffe? Makes the earlier shit seem like piss-water, which it is anyway!

Starbucks offering a $7 cup of coffee

NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- Starbucks Corp. is selling a 16-ounce "grande" cup of coffee for $7 in its most pricey offering. Aiming at the premium java drinker, the Costa Rica Finca Palmilera coffee sells for $40 for a half-pound bag. For more budget-conscious, high-end coffee customers, a 12-ounce "tall" cup sells for $6, according to reports. The hot drink is made from a tough-to-grow coffee bean strain known as Geisha. Currently, it's available only at 46 locations in the Northwestern U.S. that house high-end Clover brewing equipment. "We are now offering more reserve coffees than ever before because of customer demand," a Starbucks spokesperson said.

...and that makes me wonder... What kinda 'customer' demands a cup o' coffee that costs $7.00? That puts "The Big man" ta shame...and makes him shit himself!

Uke, somebody buys that stuff, everytime we go by the local Starbucks, the line at the drive-through window is always three or four cars deep. I don't get it.

Since you're almost at ground zero, please explain how and why this is.

Cy... There's somethin' goin' on with that outfit that I just don't get! I like my own coffee!
I buy good beans, grind 'em at home, drip brew...and take it off the heat right away...

Pour a cup, add a bit of dairy...sip it while it's hot! Nothin' else to it. Maybe they got that
hazelnut stuff... Big fuckin' deal! Anybody can buy those beans, then brew up a pot of that
tu, including our pal Snippy!

Gotta be something else... They just brew... Wait, maybe it's the method...steam through
the ground coffee, not hot water...steam! That must be it... A lot more caffeine released
using steam, than using hot (boiling) water for brewing (drip) stuff...

That's gotta be it! But I ain't about ta run out ta buy an espresso makin' outfit! Not ta use
at home anyway!

They only do one or two little cups at a time...

He goes and spoils a perfectly good cup of coffee with cream and it's almost like, why, it's like ruining it with hazelnut. It figures that Snippy would award him a prize.

Uke, do you make one cup of coffee at a time?

Fuck Ranger Uke won the prize for taking the coffee off of the heat right away.

Should it be un-awarded?

So, you make coffee one cup at a time?

How'd you get to be the BJDC Prize Committee, anyway?

Nah... Good beans from a small roaster, Cafe Appasionato. Usually French Roast...oily beans, dark, black! The same beans brought with ta several past BurningJournaldotcom Summits.

Clean, cold water brought to just about ta break a boil...dripped through a Melita cone filter #2...makes 3 cups of very good brew!

One cup right now...the rest, into a jar... Next morn reheated for a 'fresh' cup! Tres simple non?

Hope you all have been watching the new series on the Travel Channel
on Tuesday nights called "Dangerous Grounds" This dude Todd Carmichael
who has a rambo approach to seeking out the greatist coffees. Every show
so far has been a "must see". Todd does coffee in Philly when he gets it
back home. First person to give me his birthday wins a prize.

Rather than start a new thread, this fits right in. I've been watching this
series "Dangerous Grounds" on the Travel Channel for the past few weeks.
It's real obvious to me after all the coffee's I've tasted in the last 20
years from more places than I can remember, that it was individuals
like Todd brought that coffee to our taste buds in the USA. Starbucks
or not, coffee world is worth exploring...still and it could cost extra for
some "very special" cups. I can see why now.

Starbucks new $7 Geisha coffee is its priciest ever

 This prize has been denied.png

Reason: Moran Uke forgot his grinder at Summit 12.

Results: Time wasted in Gardner Montana while Moran Uke searched for a grinder.

You didn't read the failure, the reason for the denial. Which now makes it a double failure. Give back one of your prizes...... Send it UPS, support the Teamsters.
