The GPNW is actually working on that right now. And people who voted for it, and the complainers, will be charged a special 'levy' on their next license renewal! Not ta mention the surcharge your new governor will add ta your property tax bill for fiscal 2013.

I like it . But if one got accustomed to driving long miles like that,

it could cause problems driving safely where the lines have poor visibility.

It's a brilliant idea, though.

Garbage truck goes down road with packer working spilling all kinda gook out drain hole as garbage gets smashed so

theres room for more garbage, gook lands on florescent lines covering them up.

Coal truck, gravel truck, sand, etc truck spills product concealing lines.

Cars trucks run over lines and friction between tire and paint rubs off a little paint everytime a car goes across dimming line,

ilittle bit of flourescent toxic paint getting rubbed off gets washed onto field adjoining road when it rains killing all the red peckered

dinglesnorks, not to mention the runoff that gets to the streams and creeks and kills off untold amount of wee creatures and flora and fawna.

Dont sound like too good a deal ta me...

Good intentions... Paraphrasing a long lost author who wrote that 'the road ta hell is paved with good intentions'! Now that one's cleared up!t

Take a look at the so called 'flourescent' paint used in the highway lines... Why doesn't it always glow? There's teeny glass 'beads' sprayed onto the epoxy-type base coat, before the top layer is applied, which is intended to keep the shit down.

Now with their modern technology, all highway lines are 'raised' above the surface of the roads because of the epoxy based 'paints' used in center-lining, and 'fog' lining along the outside edge of our roads.

That's the trip in Washington anyway... The state tends ta be progressive in some things, public safety for one, education...not so much, but the intentions...again are there!

Taxation? They give too much away on that front, and misapply a great deal of revenue collected...and still charge too much in road use fees, gasoline taxes, and yet our street, roads, and main routes look and feel as though they were laid down fifty years ago, then just left!

Will they still use reflectors that glow red if you are going the wrong direction or will the glowing paint have some sort of indicator?
