Yeah true dat! I walked ta work every chance I had... However, with our rather unpred... Our miserable winters and springs, I was forced ta drive when the rains were incessant! December storms could wipe ya off the face of the Earth!

Walking was definitely a good way ta get a few miles of exercise in every week. Laps at work, inside the roundhouse, outside, up, down...climbing, wrenching, lifting, carrying, bending, twisting, and operating machinery... The variety at work is what kept me lean, and strong the last few years... I never really thought about it when it was going on...

Now that I don't work... I actually notice gaining weight, and getting soft! Dammit!

I put $26 worth in my tank @ $3.75.9 a gallon Saturday
and I had to do it myself unlike Hoghead Bob. Just think
Uke after you get settled in in Oregon, you will have gas
station attendents to serve you.

Just paid 1.19 / litre works out to about 4.35 /gal . without the exchange rate factored in.

We are still buying one barrel of crude at twice the price of every two barrels of export bitumen we sell .

If that changes you might be paying $10 gal. Just sayin.

That $10/gallon shit will definitely put the kibosh on everybody's plans. The US produces more oil than needs ta be imported, so why are we still seeing such exorbitant prices at the pump? Economics? Speculation? Refining? Cost of crude?

All the above? Nobody has a real explanation, although we've been down this road before. But it's worth looking into the big pictue for a few answers... Maybe we can get some idea who's making money on the 'gas-gouge'!

Then again, maybe not!

People paying $ 2 a cup for mediocre mud while whining about the $ 1.19 / liter to fill their Silverado V8 on the way to coffee row suggest to the powers that be that the market will still bear more increases in price. Big oil as well as the tax gouging government . It ain't rocket surgery.
