Reading through that article... It becomes readily apparent that atheism in its many forms (humanism, free-thinking unitarianism, animism, etc.) are considered crimes in much of the Islamic world. And that freely expressing so may result in a death penalty. So much for the tolerance, and acceptance of Islam.

Curiously lacking in your article is the agnostic's point of view. While not truly considered atheists, these folks are your true fence sitters... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Agnosticism

GENEVA (Reuters) - Atheists, humanists and freethinkers face widespread discrimination around the world with expression of their views criminalized and subject in some countries to capital punishment, the United Nations was told on Monday.

I dint know Atheism is thought of as a religion but it is just the opposite.

Atheism is just a lable to attach to the advanced incarnations of

everybody here. "Freethinkers"...always having different ideas

about everything. "The Individual" who can think on his own,

"they" dont want that.
