Transit police have released a photo of this hero: Richard Donohue. Donohue, a 3-year veteran of the force and father of a 6-month-old, was shot once in an early-morning gun battle with Dzhokhar and Tamerlan Tsarnaev. He is out of surgery and has been stabilized.

Guess he figured nobody'd notice the bloody trail leading to the boat, not his bloody handprints all over the tarp...

Maybe he thought he'd hole up while the heat died down, then sneak off ta some prepped hide-out to wait, and plan his next moves...

Glad the law got him before a Boston gang grabbed him! Although doubts remain if he'll fill in the blanks concerning the rest of the story.

at some news conferences wearing a hat that was of nazi design or similiar.
