You have to love this stuff, did he try or did he succeed?  I don't get it, do these people read their own copy?  I guess it's because he didn't die in the jail but he succumbed at the hospital the next morning.  Just thought it read rather oddly.

 

Inmate commits suicide at DeKalb County Jail

DEKALB COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) - Officials said an inmate died Sunday after trying to kill himself in his cell at the DeKalb County Jail on Saturday.

According to the DeKalb County Sheriff's Department, Jessie Roby, of Waterloo, was found unconscious in his cell by confinement officers around 11:30 p.m. Saturday.

The officers gave Roby CPR until EMS crews arrived. Roby was taken to Parkview Regional Medical Center.

Police said on Sunday around 10:30 a.m., Roby died from his injures.

Roby was recently sentenced to two years in the DeKalb County Jail for arson.

The incident is under investigation by the Indiana State Police.

As you can see, the Articule was written on Sunday. Probably the guys day off,

guy was just at his grilfriends place ready to set down to a scrumpsious Sunday

Dinner followed by frolicking on the couch in the parlor, When the phone rang and

his boss told him to beat it down to the hospital and stinking Jail to get the "scoop".

A better title might have been. "DeKalb County Jail inmate dies"
