Giant George, the Tucson Great Dane who had the title of the world's tallest dog, has died.

The sad news was announced on Oct. 18:

It is with a heavy heart that we announce Giant George died last night. George passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones; one month before his eighth birthday.

We appreciate the love and support you have given Giant George over the last several years. We look forward to honoring his spirit by continuing his charitable works.

Your thoughts and prayers are much appreciated.

Guinness World Records said the 250-pound blue Great Dane was the tallest dog ever on record. He stood 3 feet, 7 inches tall from paw to shoulder.

News of his passing brought well wishes from around the world.

November 17 has been designated "Giant George Service Day," a chance for you to give of your time and/or money for your favorite animal cause or charity. 

George - who now speaks from beyond the Rainbow Bridge, says "You will be honoring me on what would be my 8th birthday by helping animals in your community."

...then again it might've been another post concerning gasoline/petrol prices. Down the street, local gas 'n go regular 87 octane sells for $3.29 Merican. Not cheap, but less than a year ago!

ARCO. Owned by BP... Plus it helps Merican farmers by blending the stuff with 10% alky! More'n likely refined by ADM, and shipped by rail to a refinery near you!

Considering DQ (Briz's UNfavorite poster), there was some speculation... Then again interest was lost rather quickly and quietly, and other matters of import became the focus of the moment. Sad but true, another of Uke's honeys disappeared!

Rumor had it that DQ divorced ex-RR hubby for a rich(er) attorney to the stars, who has a Malibu mansion, and a summer retreat somewhere in the Carribean. And a Swiss chalet in the Alps. And would adopt her 'kids' and her largest dogs! (Great Danes!). Sheesh...

BurningJournaldotcom records reveal that DQ was several years in arrears on dues. Her loss is not really missed!

Jeannie, AKA: "Aunt Jeannie" ta some...also disappeared approximately the same time as DQ. Could the two be one? A mystery wrapped in an enigma, which continues to haunt this websight!

Which brings us full circle. Dues. And Troll. What to do about his dues.
