PHILADELPHIA (AP) - March 5, 2014 (WPVI) -- A police marine unit is searching the icy Schuylkill River in Philadelphia after a man allegedly jumped off a bridge to escape officers chasing him.
Investigators said the man was nearby in 30th Street Station when he dropped a bag containing narcotics and a gun.
As Amtrak police officers pursued the man, they said he jumped off the Market Street Bridge and into the freezing water at around 2:30 p.m. Wednesday.
