For some reason I believed the weather forecasters
about the GPNW having a long hot dry summer
in 2014. I dint plant any seed and over half my
garden is fallow. You can actually get sick of
watering your garden if you do it manually with
a water-wand and 100ft of garden hose every
other evening for 2-3 months straight. I never
gave a thought to my water bill rising to a point
where I would notice it but it did in a big way
as over a 100-150 extra dollars to water my garden
as I needed to do in 2013. So I catch-on fast and
take a lot of steps to modify my water useage
and realize "when I'm spending money" and it
better be "worth it". My irragation of the 2014 garden
takes about 12 minutes to give any plant
I care about a good drink which is quite a reduction
from the 40 minutes of flowing water to my sunflower
forest in 2013..every other day. While the GPNW has
all the water in the world, the metro cities are going
to charge more for it and I found out. This has been
quite a summer in the GPNW as it actually started in
June like the calendar says this year.
