Well, it doesn't look like I[t] Fell To Pieces, nor that you were Walkin' After Midnight when you saw it. You must have come upon it after your had some Sweet Dreams. If you were Fooling' Around Half As Much as they did in the Crazy days, you may have had to spend Seven Lonely Days alone singing the Lovesick Blues. Now, though, She's Got You.
Anyway, too bad you were on the wrong end of I-81 to have seen the Blue Moon Of Kentucky. Never fret, though, that was last week.
Safety agent Clavalin. The retired married couple giving the tour didn't point out all the safety hazards, nor did they take time to show us emergency exits in case of emergency, to say nothing of their failure to check and see if anyone was CPR-qualified. FAIL. OTOH, it was their last day, because they're moving to Richmond, VA.
He had lived in Winchester his entire life, Patsy once bought him a coke at the McCrory's in Winchester.
Any of you ever go to McCrory's? We had Kresge's and Woolworth's, I knew of McCrory's but not in my neck of the woods.
There was a Ben Franklin (five and dime) in our town. Many years ago. I remember my brother and I used to like to run up and down the aisle making the boards in the floor squeak.
It was a big long store and the aisle ran from the front to the back. It sounded like a war going on when you walked on the floor.
We moved to another town and there was a Western Auto store there. It closed many years ago.
I was in an old clothing store about 7 years ago, to see about a pair of boots. It closed after 50 years the next year. The first time I walked in there it was like being taken back in time. All wood floor, high ceilings with fans, and when you walked the whole world knew where you were. squeak squeak
I found an excuse to go in there at least a couple times before it closed. Its still there, closed and dark. No ones gonna buy or lease it, the whole block is vacant.
It'd be a hoot if I could just go in there with a video camera and just walk around once before they tear the place down.

Got a lot memories of walking wooden floors in hardware
stores in Bellingham in my youth. The Arlington WA Ace
hardware store has woodenfloors that squeak when you
walk down the aisles. Like you are in a western movie
only no gun or spurs.
