This map shows a few of the largest. Smoky air, and no rain on the radar... People have opined that this is the worst fire season they've experienced. Most of these folks have lived around the county (Linn) over fifty years! Damn!

Uke,

Does it seem that you can have a black cloud overhead, and it produces no rain.  Ky fire fighters are helping out, tho.

Nuther subject---Firefox is new to me, but seems to be user friendly--mostly.

"The Sky is ablaze with lady's legs"...lyrics from a "Was not Was"
composition. I'm still surprised that the 4th of July fireworks dint
set the whole state of WA on fire. This is the most serious deal the
whole West Coast from California to Alaska and the Inland Empire
of Eastern WA and Idaho and Montana has ever faced. Too much
fire and not enough manpower will have many fires burn with no
control for days. I've already seen what's left of Chelan WA after
one of the fires and there's nothing left. Scary times with the wildfires.

Mandatory evacuations issued for Okanogan, Tonasket, and Twisp in upper Washington state.

Oregon hasn't issued mandatory evacs. yet, but some very large fires burning on open lands, and close to smaller communities. Check the map above, and enlarge it to pinpoint areas, closer to towns.

There are many ways that your home can be destroyed.
Hurricane..Tornado..Earthquake...Flood..and Fire (naturally).
What so surreal looking at the aftermath of a wildfire that
has burnt homes that everything is "still where it was only burnt".
Your car and truck incinerated and any metal roofing or metal
anything looks to be melted. This is Venus in Retrograde...where
you may lose everything. No let-up in the in the amount of new
fires as this plays out until Venus goes direct about Labor Day.
My thoughts are on Western Wa that no big fire takes place...
been some that have been contained pretty quickly.
