Very first SBUX to open in Italy. Yep Italy. Where Howard Schultz says he encountered 'cafe society', and great coffee. Then it devolved into the pissy brew people now pay 5, 6 bucks for a cup. Not very good, watered down, tiny shots of what passes for coffee...
Pipes, you understand that Uke's tips are, shall we say, not the kind of tips that makes a waitperson want to bring him a sterling cup of coffee. Or so I've heard.
The Areopress, with the $9 metal filter. I use it at home and it goes in my grip. If it wasn't $30 I would buy two.
Seattle's Best, cause (sigh*) Starbucks coffee is expensive. Seattles's Best is the only coffee in the store that taste remotely close. The #5 has the most flavor. If they were the same price I would get Starbuck's Colombian all day everyday.
2. The Ike French Press... the small one ($9).
Better than the coffee machine but not better than the Areopress. I've had two and managed to shatter both of them on the floor. When I we get around to going back to the madhouse known as Ikea I'll get another one
3. Startbuck's
If you can manage to block out everything around you and stand in line while the sackless effeminate dude in front of you orders his soy latte, you will actually get a good cup of real coffee. If you get the weekly special they will sometimes have make it from scratch. Not sure what *** is crying about but there's not too many places you can get a real, just made cup of coffee for $1.80.

You are a bunch of (buncka) snooty connoisseurs. You would sneer and stick up your collective noses at Cy's coffee. Cuisinart drip coffeepot, usually make an eight cup pot, which is really four cups, we mix two scoops of Folger's with two scoops of Eight o' Clock* on most days, it makes a blend that pleases us. We are also fond of various blends from Trader Joe's and usually buy a can or tu when we get near Joe's.
It would take both hands but that should cover the number of times Cy has had Starbucks. OTOH, Cy would hate to think how many cups of gas station coffee he has consumed, although that count diminished drastically over five years ago now.

I really want to give coffee lessons right now but I'm not thinking to clearly. Clues to work with....Melitta....2-cup plastic device funnel...box of No 2 "Super Premium Coffee Filters...Brown"....and buy some fresh "whole bean" coffee that you grind yourself...if you don't have a grinder..buy one...then all you need is near boiling water that doesn't have chlorine and fluoride and lead. If you are at a AFHT..you bring your own bottle watter to make coffee. I know I'm talking to the Folgers..Yuban..Maxwellhouse..MJB etc members... those that grew up on "Robusta" coffee beans/coffee. Arabica coffee beans/coffee has a lot more to offer and there are some other rare coffee beans discovered in the last few years. Of course you can find coffees from the whole world by just entering a Starbux store. Just buy a half pound of some coffee you never tasted before.
