Police in Wilmette, a suburb of Chicago have found Sinead O'Connor safe and sound.

According to a statement from the Wilmette Department of Police on Monday, the singer was found safe around 1:45 p.m. CT  and is no longer considered a missing person. Earlier in the day, the Wilmette Police confirmed they were "seeking to check the well-being" of O'Connor after she reportedly left the area for a bike ride Sunday around 6:00 a.m. and had not returned.

No other information is available at this time, police say. 

This past November, O'Connor was found safe and sound after writing that she had "taken an overdose" in what appeared to be a suicidal post on her Facebook page.

Per WMAQ-TV, an NBC local affiliate, a friend of O'Connor's said she'd left Ireland in January and has been staying in the Chicago area with friends.

The mother of four has spoken openly about her ongoing battle with depression before. In a 2014 interview with Oprah Winfrey, she explained, "I don't think I was born with bipolar disorderI believe it was created as a result of the violence I experienced...It didn't really help in terms of being well or a stable person the fact that I really was getting kicked around, metaphorically speaking, by the media for years," she says. "It seemed every time I went to work, all I was getting told was what a dreadful, terrible person I was. And I couldn't really manage all of that on top of everything else."
