...which seems ta be one reason so many folks are on the move to the West. Not just the west per se, but the GPNW. Right into The Krink's 'hood! But that may be good for our bud. Yes and no! His house value may literally jump upwards overnight, but with the higher valuation of real estate property taxes are likely to increase as well. What to do... Bail out and move yourself? Where ya gonna go?
That's the dilemma. Where ya gonna go? Should ya sell out while housing is in short supply, and the shortage drives up existing home prices, or borrow some dollars against your equity? The Krink unknowingly may just be in the catbird seat! His house could be worth more than even he knows. But he seems alright where he lives, although the tides have shifted... His once little town is now a 'bedroom' community for people working in Seattle, and to a lesser degree Everett. And perhaps Mt. Vernon, a growing nearby ex-urb town!
Uke has been patient on the home-ownership thing, in spite of low VA loans, and low prices down here, although slowly creeping upwards on both sides. Uke might move tu! Right on outa the USA. Europe looks good from here. Portugal, Spain, Italy, Southern France...
I just want the sound of track-hoes/excavaters/D-9 Cats/backwards beeping noises all-day
to stop as its been a solid year of construction/destruction loud noises to the west of the of
"100ft tall cottonwoods. They built a new grade skoolen and I don't know what they building
now but the noise is ridiculously loud with the aid the "woods effect echo". Came home from
the store today and turned into my street and could see a "crane" that way was way taller
than my 100ft tall cottonwoods "sticking up into the skyline". WTF is going on to the west of me.
Be real easy to just drive the street and see for myself but I might get carsick.

Fortunately those majestic cottonwoods are "protected". The real destruction/construction is on the west side of the street/road on the west side of the majestic cottonwoods very near SR9. With the amount of noise I'd say they are trying to level a hillside. I got to see what they are doing now.

Upon arrival home this morn after a visit to mntman and the missus out west (Lincoln City), the 'hood is under full assault by construction/destruction machinery, large trucks... Yet no explanation has been offered by apt. management!
'My' cat Daisy is so freaked out that she flat refuses to come home! Those fuckin' machines and shit do the beep, beep, beep thing when reversing, which is at least more often than not.
Coulda stayed with the mntys, but for a VVA meeting tomorrow. Can't NOT attend. Official $$$ decisions to be made. A quorum of members is required to move...so the return today! But the torn up neighborhood is unpleasant!

So Sunday afternoon late instead of another railfan attempt I opted for picking blueberrys.
The hood was so quiet as I picked 18-cups of blueberries. You could hear the bird chirps/noises
like you were in a forest. I needed to know my hood can still be that quiet. Monday comes
and the noises from hell return.

Back to the grind here tu! Still no word as to 'why' the street(s) have been destroyed by excavators, dozers, graders... It's all bullshit!
Car is filthy! Covered with a thick coat of dirt, and dust, barely recognizable as a Ford Escape! Pointless to wash it until all this shit is done, and the streets are repaved, or... The park a block away has been destroyed! Every last square inch of grass/turf has been stripped away! These destroyers of streets have used it as a parking lot for their machines and trucks, pipes, culverts, concrete and gravel, aggregate, and other schitt since May, when all this started!
August first, and they ain't done yet! Woke this morning to the building shaking! WTF! Thought perhaps a bomb hit nearby! Nope some huge machine ripping the pipes out yet again!
