Money. Money. It's always money they want. They being these 'feel sorry' for organizations that solicit for donations. They're from the American Red Cross, Boys Town, Doctors Without Borders, St. Jude, Catholic Services, Jewish World Services, Salvation Army USA, United Way of your state/area, etc. (Not one of the better outfits) Goodwill, Inc. (One of the worst! Not really a charity organization. Actually a PROFITEER, where your donations fund their CEO's lavish life style!) Donate your used clothes to a homeless shelter. Forget Goodwill, Inc. They're neither good, nor will help anybody but themselves. Likewise don't shop there either!

How do they know your name, and your address? You sent money to ONE of 'em, and that one outfit, be it deserving of your charity, sold (for $$$) your info. Now you're on everybody's list as a 'touch'! Also known as a sucker with money.

Personally... My charitable giving goes to VVA (Vietnam Veterans of America), and you all know why. High on the Uke list is DVA (Disabled Veterans of America) for obvious reasons. Public Radio (My local station), and Safe Haven Humane Society, which is our local animal shelter.

My gut says the USPS is partially responsible for this crap. They're in such desperate need of money that they also 'sell' our info to all the outfits who support 'em tu!

Try this list to help ya decide who needs, and/or really deserves your bucks: https://www.charitywatch.org/charitywatch-articles

Look for more info on the internets. Lotsa charities sound tu good ta be true... They probably are. Wounded Warriors comes ta mind! They waste more of your dollars than they do helping Veterans. Been there, done that.

Sorry for the rant! But this is current stuff. Seems like every year it's worse than last year! Used ta be catalogs...

I like to talk to them when I feel devlish and I have the time.

Get em going, talk about making a big donation then when they ask how you're going to make the deposit....................

Tell them your daughter signs the checkbook, you cant write a check anymore.

They have never called back

My father asks the charity people, and anyone else he considers a scam caller to hold for a moment, he takes the phone outside puts on hearing protection and unleashes the air horn from his boat into the phone. NOBODY calls again.....
