A Blizzard Warning means severe winter weather conditions are
expected or occurring. Falling and blowing snow with strong winds
and poor visibilities are likely. This will lead to whiteout
conditions, making travel extremely dangerous. Do not travel. If
you must travel, have a winter survival kit with you. If you get
stranded, stay with your vehicle. The latest road conditions for
the state you are calling from can be obtained by calling 5 1 1.
They are calling for hurricane force winds overnight. <---- Edit:The non-REAL Weather Guys a/k/a TeeVee Weather Hysterians are calling for hurricane force winds.

Hope you made it to the grocery store before hand as you may be "in-place" til Monday.
Once a wintery blast hit my Ferndale home back in 1981 and the wind and the snow/drifts
like overnight had me cut-off from going anywhere for days. The Krinks pantry back in those
days wasn't stocked at all and all that was in the refrigerator was condiments. Day 2 of being
stranded I had nothing else to do but walk 2 miles into town and buy some food at a store.
Once I could walk to a road that was plowed a guy in a pickup truck took me to the store
which was a big help. After filling up a "gunny sack" of groceries I left the store and another
kind person gave me a ride to my unplowed road. That mile and a half walk with a heavy
gunny sack of groceries over my shoulder walking on a snow covered road and climbing across
snow drifts will never be forgotten. When I got in the door of my home I think I had Oreo cookies
for dinner.
