Open carry gone wrong.

RIVERVIEW A 44-year-old construction worker was accidentally shot and killed by his coworker at a job site on Wednesday, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies were called to the scene at about 1:45 p.m. The shooting took place at a construction site along the 8900 block of Riverlachen Way. The neighborhood is near the Alafia River.

The armed coworker is a 43-year-old man who told deputies he was getting out of his vehicle at the time. He moved his firearm from his waistband to his pocket, he told deputies, when he accidentally tripped.

His gun fired and the bullet struck his coworker, who was working on the roof of the house.

Sounds like a bullschitt story ta me. The shooter actually had a beef with the roofer, and promised to kill him soon. And that's a promise he meant ta keep. And he did. Fill his promise. But as always, dead men tell no tails.
