Without clicking the link I know already....Jeep Cherokee....the new one of course. Probably a tiger shark engine, which is American....and the Chrysler 948te transaxle which is based on a ZF design but made in USA...Naturally the body stampings are domestic although the floorpan may be Italian.

I saw a Mercum Auto Auction where a replica of the family truckster used in the movie Vacation complete
with the dead aunt on the rooftop. They made 5 or 9 of these trucksters for the movie and at this auction
it sold for $90K.
