Sure wasn't expecting to see a foot of snow on the ground when I got up. 12-14" as your standard ruler was not
long enough. My communitity was the prize winner for most snow in Puget Sound...yay! This shit/stuff going to stick
around all week as getting above freezing not for a couple days and even then not much over freezing. I had to sweep
some walking trails...one to the garage, one to the deck, one to the woodpile, and one back to where my main feeding
station is. Saw one squirrel late in the afternoon taking a look at the snowy situation and I waved a peanut from 40ft away.
The squirrel jumped into the deep snow to disapear and jump up out of snow to disapear a couple times and made it to the
bushes along the garage where it navigated its way to a clear strip along the garage where I threw a couple peanuts. Poor
thing had no place to eat the peanut in the deep snow so the thing climbed a tree and ate the peanut. Came back down to
get the other peanut and back up the tree again. Took a while during the day to clear the snow off things enough to where
Tuesday's critter/bird feeding will be more spectacular. The roads/streets are all compact snow/ice and treacherous.

Wow, that's terrible ass real snow.

It's a moist, frigid 61º (M) here in Snippylvania, so I'll be commiserating with you.

I wonder what the science is behind a wood stove heating better the colder it is outside? Maybe the draft gets better.

What global warming, huh? Trump is right on the money for once! Where's the global warming huh? Not in my area I can say with prooph from NOAA. The REAL weather people!

https://www.accuweather.com/en/us/lebanon-or/97355/weather-warnings/340212

They have no agenda, except to observe, predict, report to the government the very latest up to the minute weather.

Although POTUS 45 does not believe anything other than FauxNooz, and I don't believe either!

"Snow Event Two" is well underway in the whole state of WA. this Friday/now. The region was just above freezing all day
and snowing and Seattle got off lucky for a while with the roads/streets but now after midnight temps plunge to turn the
area into one giant ice arena. Notice also this snow is sticking to the trees like thick flock which is not good. Snow weighted
limbs sag down over power lines and power outages. Even in the darkest hours of the night you can see the forest/trees really
coated with snow. Saturday will reveal one hell of a winter mess. It hasnt stopped snowing at my space but probly 6" so far
on top of a foot of old snow. Pictures soon as I take them.

Is Krink still among the breathing? Seems he was a few hours ago, but now? His entire 'hood may be buried! Yep. Lotsa snow in Krinkville, or Krinksylvania. In any case the Guv has declared a 'state of emergency', so I guess Washington State is closed.

Yes their selection of whole bean coffees are unsurpassed in this valley! One might find more variety by traveling to Portland. But driving that far (70-75 miles) for coffee seems out of the question!

In any case I HAVE tried hazelnut, but I find the taste didn't excite me. My usual cup is French Roast, or Italian Roast. Both of which Freddie's was out of. I settled on a pound of tiny, oily beans from Sumatra, in an espresso-style roast. Bought everything on my list. But... I forgot bread! Then I hadda hit Safeway my neighborhood store. Needed a couple other items tu.  But Safeway was packed! I hadda park way the hell out on the edge of nowhere! People panicked over the looming storm I gues...

Anyway no hazelnut this time.

I'm pretty much at home right here in this part of Oregon. Sheldon and Leonard's 'apartment' is nothing more than a set in studio, for a TV show. The place is nice, but not a real place. Kinda like the Friend's place in NYC, or Seinfeld's apartment.

All three shows always look good on TV, but they're idealized imagined dreams come to life.

I couldn't move to Cali for any amount of money. Ya gotta remember where I started out. New Jersey. Again, I couldn't live there now. For one thing I couldn't afford the taxes. And the traffic, and drivers are outa control. Jersey is overcrowded, and getting worse! I have strong ties to the place having been born and raised there. Schooled there. First job, first GF. First lay. Lotsa firsts. But...

I've lived in Washington and Oregon since '79, so there's nothing for me in Jersey, or the east. Not ta mention Jersey weather sucks!
